Terms of service
Last updated: 16th September 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of the Silly Squirrel website and purchases made from Silly Squirrel Ltd.
Please read these Terms carefully before placing an order. By placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms together with the policies referred to within them.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
1. ABOUT US
This website is operated by Silly Squirrel Ltd, trading as Silly Squirrel ("we", "us", "our").
Company name: Silly Squirrel Ltd
Company number: [COMPANY NUMBER]
Registered in: England and Wales

Silly Squirrel Ltd is the seller of products purchased through this website.
Our online store is hosted by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform that enables us to sell our products to you.
2. WHERE WE DELIVER
We currently sell and deliver to customers in:
England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Available delivery services, charges and any applicable restrictions will be displayed at checkout and/or explained in our Shipping Policy.
We do not currently offer international delivery outside the United Kingdom destinations listed above.
3. OUR PRODUCTS
We take reasonable care to ensure that descriptions, photographs, measurements, materials, colours and other product information displayed on our website are accurate.
However, colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen, device and display settings.
Products involving processes such as dyeing, tie-dye, printing or other finishes may have reasonable variations between individual garments. Where such variation forms part of the nature of the product, this will not necessarily constitute a fault.
Where a product has an oversized, relaxed or otherwise particular fit, this will be explained on the relevant product page. Please review the available size information before ordering.
Product availability may change and we may discontinue products, designs or colourways.
Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights where goods are faulty, not as described, not of satisfactory quality or otherwise fail to meet requirements imposed by consumer law.
4. PLACING AN ORDER
When you submit an order through our website, you are offering to purchase the products in your basket.
Before submitting your order, you will have an opportunity to review the products selected and the information you have provided and to correct errors.
The checkout will make clear that placing the order creates an obligation to pay.
After placing an order, you will receive an electronic confirmation containing information about your order.
We may refuse or cancel an order where we have a legitimate reason to do so, including where:
- a product is unavailable;
- payment cannot be authorised;
- there has been an obvious pricing or product information error;
- we reasonably suspect fraud or unauthorised activity; or
- we are otherwise unable to fulfil the order.
If we cancel an order after taking payment, we will refund the appropriate amount to the original payment method.
5. PRICES AND PAYMENT
Prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP).
The total amount payable, including applicable delivery charges and taxes, will be displayed before you place your order.
If Silly Squirrel Ltd becomes VAT registered, VAT information will be displayed as required by law.
We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout.
Payment is taken when you place your order, including where an item is sold on a preorder basis unless expressly stated otherwise.
We take reasonable care to ensure prices are correct. If we discover an obvious pricing error, we may contact you before fulfilling the affected product and give you the option of proceeding at the correct price or cancelling the affected product for a refund.
We will not add optional paid extras without your express consent.
6. PREORDERS
Some Silly Squirrel products are sold on a preorder basis.
A preorder is an order for a product that is not available for immediate dispatch and which may be manufactured or prepared after orders have been placed.
We will clearly identify preorder products before purchase.
Before you place a preorder, the relevant product information will provide the estimated production timeframe and the estimated timeframe for dispatch to you. By proceeding with the preorder, you agree to the stated longer fulfilment period.
Payment for a preorder will normally be taken when the order is placed.
Production and dispatch dates are estimates provided in good faith. Manufacturing, freight, customs, quality-control processes or other circumstances may occasionally affect those estimates.
If there is a material delay affecting your preorder, we will contact you using the contact information provided with your order and explain the revised position and any rights or options available to you.
If a preorder product does not reach any minimum production quantity disclosed before purchase and we are therefore unable to proceed with production, we will cancel the affected item and issue a full refund for that item to your original payment method without undue delay.
Our separate Preorder Policy provides further information about our preorder process and forms part of these Terms.
A product being sold as a standard preorder does not, by itself, remove your statutory cancellation or consumer rights.
7. DELIVERY
Delivery options, charges and relevant estimated timescales will be provided before you complete your order.
For products held in stock, the applicable estimated dispatch or delivery information will be provided on our website.
For preorder products, the production and dispatch timeframe disclosed before purchase applies instead of our normal in-stock dispatch timeframe.
Unless we have agreed a different delivery period with you — including an agreed preorder timeframe — goods will be delivered within the period required by applicable consumer law.
Delivery dates and times are estimates unless we expressly agree otherwise.
If circumstances outside our reasonable control materially affect delivery, we will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect of the delay and communicate with affected customers where appropriate.
Risk in the goods remains with us until the goods come into your physical possession or the physical possession of a person identified by you to receive them, except where consumer law provides otherwise.
Further delivery information is available in our Shipping Policy.
8. YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL AN ONLINE ORDER
For most goods purchased online, you have a legal right to change your mind and cancel the contract without giving a reason.
Generally, the cancellation period ends 14 days after the day on which you, or a person nominated by you, receives the goods.
Where a single order is delivered in separate deliveries, the applicable cancellation period may run from receipt of the last relevant goods, as provided by law.
To exercise your right to cancel, you must tell us clearly that you wish to cancel.
You can contact us at:
You may use the model cancellation form provided in our Return & Refund Policy, but you do not have to use the form. Any clear statement informing us of your decision to cancel is sufficient.
Certain goods may be legally excluded from the right to cancel, including certain goods made to a customer's specifications or clearly personalised. Where an exception applies to a product, we will make this clear where required.
A standard Silly Squirrel preorder is not automatically a personalised or bespoke product merely because it is manufactured following the preorder period.
9. RETURNS FOLLOWING CANCELLATION
If you cancel after receiving the goods, you must return them in accordance with the instructions in our Return & Refund Policy and within the period required by law.
Unless the goods are faulty, incorrect or otherwise subject to rights that require us to bear the return cost, you may be responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods where we have informed you of this before purchase.
You are entitled to inspect goods as you reasonably would in a shop. Where goods have been handled beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, we may be entitled by law to make an appropriate deduction from the refund for any reduction in value.
Refunds following a valid cancellation will be made in accordance with applicable law and our Return & Refund Policy.
In addition to your statutory rights, we offer a 30-day voluntary returns policy as described in our Return & Refund Policy.
10. FAULTY, DAMAGED OR INCORRECT GOODS
Your cancellation rights are separate from your rights where there is something wrong with the goods.
Products supplied by us must comply with applicable consumer law, including requirements relating to satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose and conformity with their description.
If you believe an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described, please contact us at:
11. PROMOTIONS, EARLY ACCESS AND FREE GIFTS
From time to time, we may offer promotions, early-access periods, discount codes or free gifts.
Any specific eligibility requirements, availability limits, dates or other important conditions applying to an offer will be explained when the offer is made.
Promotions and free gifts are subject to availability. We will not substitute a promotional gift with a different item without your agreement where doing so would materially change the offer.
Nothing in a promotion affects your statutory rights.
12. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The content of our website and our intellectual property, including our trade names, branding, logos, trade marks, artwork, graphics, photographs, product designs, written content and other materials created or owned by us, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may view and use our website for your personal, non-commercial use.
You must not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, commercially exploit or use our protected content without our permission, except where permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of our intellectual property to you.
13. REVIEWS AND CUSTOMER CONTENT
If you submit a review, photograph, video or other content through our website or review system, you confirm that the content is your own or that you have permission to submit it.
Reviews should reflect your genuine experience with the product.
We may display reviews and other content submitted through our website or review system in connection with our products and services, subject to applicable law and our Privacy Policy.
We may refuse or remove content where we reasonably believe it is unlawful, abusive, misleading, infringes another person's rights or is otherwise inappropriate for publication.
We will not prevent or remove a genuine negative review simply because it is negative.
14. WEBSITE USE
You must not use our website for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose, interfere with the operation or security of the website, attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, or knowingly introduce malicious code or other harmful material.
You must not use our website in a way that infringes the rights of Silly Squirrel or any other person.
We may restrict or suspend access to our website where reasonably necessary to protect the website, our customers or our business.
15. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS
Our website may contain links to, or integrate with, services provided by third parties.
We are not responsible for the content or availability of third-party websites that we do not control. If you choose to visit or use a third-party website or service, its own terms and privacy practices may apply.
Nothing in this section limits our responsibility for products purchased from Silly Squirrel or any rights you have against us under consumer law.
16. SHOPIFY
Our online store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify provides the ecommerce platform and related technology that enables us to offer our products and services online.
When you purchase a Silly Squirrel product, your contract for the purchase of that product is with Silly Squirrel Ltd, not Shopify.
Shopify may process certain personal information in connection with your use of our store. Further information about how personal information is handled is provided in our Privacy Policy.
17. PRIVACY
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how and why we use it, who we may share it with, how long we may retain it and the rights available to you in relation to your personal information.
Please review our Privacy Policy for further information.
18. OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO YOU
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
We are responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was entered into.
We supply our products for private and domestic use. We are not responsible for business losses arising from the use of products purchased as a consumer.
19. EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR REASONABLE CONTROL
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
